NJECPAC is a Continuing Political Committee (CPC). A CPC is any group of two or more persons acting jointly, or any corporation, partnership, or any other incorporated or unincorporated association, civic association or other organization, which in any calendar year contributes to aid or promote the candidacy of an individual, or the candidacies of individuals, for elective public office, or the passage or defeat of a public question or public questions, lobby for the passage or defeat of certain legislative bills introduced in the NJ Legislature in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-8(b). A CPC is frequently referred to as Political Action Committee (PAC). The NJECPAC was formed to provide funding for legislative initiatives of its members and its member organizations representing the interests of Electrical Contractors, Small Businesses and Taxpayers throughout the State of New Jersey.

World Crises Abound, Wheres Obama? Recommiting To Paycheck Fairness Act.

So Where was Obama when Japan is buried by an earthquake and tsunami, and may now be facing a Nuclear Meltdown, the Mideast on the verge of Civil War, and gas prices are skyrocketing?  He was on the radio reviving the Paycheck Fairness Act, followed by a leisurely round of Golf and then he was off the Reo.

Early in his term Obama rushed the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act  through Congress. On the surface the bill provides basic protections against wage discrimination for women and that is how it was touted. The truth is, the law will result in business thinking twice before hiring women and risk having to defend themselves against a charge of discrimination years and even decades later. The new broad timeline to file discrimination suits will make it impossible for employers to defend themselves. Like so many laws passed by congress, the intent to fix one problem often results in the creation of new and even larger problems than what the legislation supposedly was passed to fix. 

The same concept applies to the Paycheck Fairness Act. If passed, no longer will an employer have the ability to pay based upon Merit, everyone will be paid the same. The result will be the Government taking on the role of being a union followed by millions of dollars for trail lawyers who can not wait to start filing law suits under the law even before it is passed.
