House Set to Vote on Massive Health Care Overhaul Legislation....Could Be Signed by the President by the End of This Month
Please visit www.IECvotes.com and send your Representative your message urging them to Oppose H.R. 3590. Let them know that true reform, not new mandates and taxes, are needed now.
Make no Mistake, The House of Representatives will vote on the 2,000 page, $2.5 TRILLION health care reform bill as soon as they believe they have the votes to pass it. It is the responsibility of every one of us to do everything in our power to stop that from happening. H.R. 3590 is a massive take over of our Health Care System and 1/6th of our entire economy. We all Agree that true reform is needed but H.R. 3590 is not reform, its passage will result in increased govenmental bureaucracy that will inevitably result in higher health care costs for all Americans.
H.R. 3590 (The Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act) containing $493 billion in tax increases in the first 10 years, could be passed by the House, then sent directly to the White House for President Obama's signature.
H.R. 3590 mandates that employers provide a government approved standard of insurance coverage to all employees or be subject to a FINE Per Employee not insured. Construction companies with more than 5 Employees would be subject to the mandate and fines, while the threshold for every other industry in the country would be 50 employees. The construction industry....is specifically targeted by this legislation.
The NJECPAC is proud to have joined forces with numerous Construction Trade & Business Associations including ABC, IEC, & The US Chamber of Commerce all of whom are leaders in the effort to defeat this egregious Legislation,
Grassroots
They have all sent Action Alerts to their members urging them to contact their legislators and educate them about the problems with this legislation, especially the provision that targets the construction industry including ALL Electrical Contractors. To view the IEC alert, please click here.
Thank You Soldier
