NJECPAC is a Continuing Political Committee (CPC). A CPC is any group of two or more persons acting jointly, or any corporation, partnership, or any other incorporated or unincorporated association, civic association or other organization, which in any calendar year contributes to aid or promote the candidacy of an individual, or the candidacies of individuals, for elective public office, or the passage or defeat of a public question or public questions, lobby for the passage or defeat of certain legislative bills introduced in the NJ Legislature in accordance with N.J.S.A. 19:44A-8(b). A CPC is frequently referred to as Political Action Committee (PAC). The NJECPAC was formed to provide funding for legislative initiatives of its members and its member organizations representing the interests of Electrical Contractors, Small Businesses and Taxpayers throughout the State of New Jersey.

FORMER HOUSE SPEAKER GINGRICH ENDORSES STRATEN


FORMER HOUSE SPEAKER GINGRICH JOINS NJECPAC & NJ-IEC IN ENDORSING ROLAND STRATEN FOR CONGRESS.

As our readers know the NJECPAC and member organization NJ-IEC have both endorsed Roland Straten for Congress.

Careful consideration was given to the voting record of his opponent, incumbent Congressman Bill Pascrell. Members of the NJECPAC Board of Governors have repeatedly visited the Congressman’s Washington Office to speak to him about the issues that are important to Electrical Contractors and Small Business to no avail.

Roland Straten’s positions are aligned with the positions of NJECPAC on small business issues effecting Electrical Contractors and Small Businesses alike.

FORMER HOUSE SPEAKER GINGRICH ENDORSES STRATEN

MONTCLAIR – Former Republican Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, General Chairman of American Solutions for Winning the Future, has announced his endorsement of Roland Straten, Republican candidate for Congress from the 8th Congressional District.

In an October 5, 2010 letter to Straten, Gingrich said, “Policies you are supporting will not only help transform government but they will also provide lower taxes, less government, and real job creation.  Those policies, not the Democrats’ policies of higher taxes, more government and job killing legislation, are what will finally put America back on the road to recovery.”   Straten’s opponent, career politician Bill Pascrell, is a liberal Democrat who votes consistently for the destructive policies decried by Gingrich: government-controlled health care, massive deficit spending, and burdensome regulations and taxation that are crushing our economy, not encouraging recovery.

“I’m pleased that my candidacy has been endorsed by former Speaker of the House Gingrich,” Straten said.  “Now it’s time to retire Bill Pascrell, who votes for what’s best for Obama and Pelosi, not for the people here in New Jersey’s 8th District.”
