ACTION ALERT !!! House Set To Debate Restrictions On Employer Free Speach

Incumbent Protection Measure Would Have Silenced Many Trade Associations Efforts to Stop Big Labor’s Card-Check Bill.

The U.S. House of Representatives is expected to vote this week on legislation to restrict the First Amendment rights of employers and their Trade Associations. H.R. 5175, the DISCLOSE Act will limit the constitutionally protected free speech rights of small business owners by imposing strict restrictions on campaign spending.

Trade associations would be drowned in red tape and exposed publicly if they attempted to educate voters about key issues being debated by Congress, such as card-check or the recently passed health care law, H.R. 3590.

The DISCLOSE Act is an attempt by the majority in Congress to silence their critics ahead of this November’s crucial elections. Read More
